What a shocker, ACB deciding to help the lefties out. What a disappointing pick, we were told we were getting a Christian conservative and we got a RINO, somehow worse female version of Roberts.

quote:

Only eight of the court’s nine justices will decide the case. Justice Amy Coney Barrett has recused herself from the case. She is friends with a Notre Dame professor who advised St. Isidore. Barrett’s recusal means the case will be decided by five conservative justices and three liberals, rather than the usual 6-3 conservative-liberal breakdown.

What was the decision of the lower court? if there is a tie the lower court's decision stands.

You're not seeing the slippery slope.

If they allow a publicly funded Catholic charter school, then the same logic and legal reasoning applies to taxpayers funding a public Muslim charter school.

Yes, and it was the correct decision for her to recuse. She still sucks though

She doesn't have too. This is pretty minor to have a recusal over.

All it does is give her a clear out and makes Roberts the "bad" guy this time around.

Explain what this is.

Because if Government is funding this school it won't be Christian in values.

You'll have chicks with dicks teaching kids that Jesus was ghey and God says just accept everyone the way they are because that's how he made them and they're perfect and fabulous.

Its a risk for sure, but Gen Z is also the most Christian generation in decades - no reason to believe the generations that follow them cannot continue the trend.

Unlike Europe most of our migrants are not Muslim. We just need to make sure immigration is kept tight to prevent the hostile takeover

While a bit hyperbolic, this is the argument many have made against state superintendent Ryan Walter’s requirement that the Bible be taught in schools. Basically saying, teaching religion is something parents need to teach and not school teachers who may not share the same values as parents.

I would go a step further. This would allow the government to define what it believes are the teachings of the Catholic (or Methodist, or Baptist, or Hindu, etc) Church.

Not in a Catholic school you wont.

If Sarah is elected you can take that statement to the bank 3 times.

Well I think parent that take their faith serious and want their children to learn the truth aren't going to trust public schools to get it right. Their children are probably already in private christian schools.

If they can't afford that I'm sure they would rather public school not try to teach them about faith and instead do their best at home and in the church.

Sounds like a typical politician's solution looking for a problem.

You already don't have this in Catholic schools.

I'm not really following you on Bishop Sarah. I don't think being Pope allows you to dictate to a government what they can and can't require of institution who takes government funding.

Are you frustrated? Because you seem like you’re getting aggravated about something.

I don’t disagree with you, you seem to think I do.

I’m saying there isn’t a problem trannys teaching in the Catholic private schools in My area of Louisiana. And regardless of who becomes pope there will continue to not be a problem with trannys teaching in Catholic schools. If there are schools calling by themselves Catholic that do this then they are not Catholic schools.
