thoughts on gov Landry to this point

what are your thoughts up to this point in his administration? I really can't think of anything significant he has done. It seems like all he does is pander to get national media attention and hang out with his trial lawyer buddies. His latest RTO ruling timing is a bit puzzling. And no I'm not a state worker nor do i work remote. I thought I remembered part of the reason state workers in the BR area were put on remote was due to the upcoming interstate construction? Has that been cancelled?

The Turkey Hunt proves he’s Bobby Jindal 2.0

He’s given the Great Value versions of stuff he said he wanted to do on the campaign trail. Not that that’s surprising, it is what it is.
“I’m going to eliminate the income tax.”
“Ok. This is actually the best I can do- Here’s an income tax reduction with no spending cuts, a teacher pay raise that is gonna actually have to be provided by the local parish, and a caveat that gives us access to pull from trust funds for pet projects that we may, well, most likely won’t pay back. It’s really important and a MUST HAVE for the well being of the state, but instead of us doing our jobs and writing a bill, sponsoring it, passing it, signing it, and codifying it showing clear support or opposition to it with names and records we’re gonna put it all together in one bloated amendment to be voted on by you fine folks on a weekend with a history
of low turnout in a state known for low election turnouts.”

Constitutional carry is a grand slam. The rest is a politician floundering.

Mike Foster was a badass. He used to come hang out with us at the fishing camp.

His solution to that is for state workers to either flex their schedules (6:30-3:00) and/or work 4-10s or 9-80s.
In his own words "Doesn't an extra day off every week sound nice?"

He’s distracted by shiny objects. The Ten Commandments. Seriously?

I didn’t know you were a trial lawyer!

I’ll give him CC, that was good to pass through.
But his handling of insurance and tort reform makes it so painfully obvious he’s bought and sold by trial attorneys.

Our governor who cared about criminals? Y’all like that today?

We'd fish next to Mike quite frequently at the oyster reef in Caminada catching specks, he was certainly a 'Louisiana Sportsman'.
"I'll keep saying it — Louisiana politics has been abysmal."

DOGE - how about increasing the attorney general fee rates 45% for state agency outside counsel? And with the stroke of a pen tens of millions of dollars in additional $ to your attorney friends.
