What are everyone's thoughts on Copper Mill recently? Played there today and was very surprised on the greens conditions compared to last time I played there (last year) when they looked better. Was surprised there were so many bad patches on the greens since they did a complete restoration in 2023. Does not look like a winter to spring transition thing in regards to the conditions in my view...

Love the layout of the course and enjoy playing there..

Its just a few greens ans they over watered them last year. They are starting to come back though and I'd expect they will be real nice in a couple months

I sure hope so because I love the course (minus #12), I heard it was in great shape and went and played it the last weekend in March and was kinda let down. 1,2,3, 9, 14, 17,18 were all struggling.

Idk man, some of the spots on the green are really bad. Like sand dirt with no sod to where it looks like a sand trap on the green I’m rooting for them because it’s nice to have another serviceable course in the rotation but it’s in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. Stack that on to the fact that they just dumped a lot of money into renovating and I’m sure it’s pretty demoralizing. Hopefully they stay the course but with the state of the tee boxes, greens, and having yard grass for rough, I don’t know that they have the right people overseeing things. Almost like they are dumping money but can’t get out of their own way with poor management.

Spring golf in Louisiana is really hard on the greens... especially greens that had 6 inches of snow a couple of years after a COMPLETE reno and subsequent drought.

They'll be fine in a few weeks/months.

#2 green is the worst at the moment. There are some spots on other greens that aren't in great shape, but most of those are isolated to one area. The greens are certainly not to the point of making me reconsider playing there.

I will say that I love the bunker renovation.

Played within the last month and was hoping the greens would be in great shape since they were recently renovated. Was very disappointed with the large swatches of sand on the greens. The maintenance guys raking the bunkers in the mid morning were oblivious to any golfers around them. Love the layout but for $65+ on a weekday I wont be going back anytime soon.

I'm paying 27 for 4pm rounds mid week.

The bad patches are bad. And it's a shame they lost some of the greens, but they are not unplayable and show signs of strong recovery in the bad areas.

Tbh, outside of hole 2, I havent had much issues with them affecting mt play

Get the copper card and one round is free. Pays for itself quite quickly.

Played today. 2 is definitely a problem. There was one other green on the back that was pretty bad. But even these 2, it’s the edges that are the problem, but the good parts are still pretty good.
Greens are still pretty hard. They are rolling true.
Overall, happy with the condition of the greens.
Hopefully they can figure out the trouble areas.
