You fellas treat w/an all-in-one or individually? I've been getting my dog's med from the vet and it's a 3mo coverage for one pill.

What's your go to?

Current dog has been on NexGard Plus and seems to be doing fine. Last pup was on Trifexis for her entire life. I read some things over recent years that gave me some hesitation about Trifexis, but I really just didn't want to switch as she got older.

Trifexis

Gave this to our current dogs when they were puppies a one was very lethargic and her head started bobbing like a Parkinson patient. I went back to giving them hearguards and frontline and haven't had a problem and they are 14yrs old.

Go to cattle/feed store & get smallest bottle of ivermectin you can find. Give .1ml of ivermectin with food per 10 lbs of body weight of your dog monthly. Save a fortune.

I go online to petbucket.com and get the three in one Heartgard chewable. It comes from Australia, so it takes a while to come in, but its cheaper and doesn't require a prescription from a vet. I think its absurd that vets require you to bring your dog in for a $180 visit every three months just so you can get their monthly preventative meds. I can get a 12 month supply for ~$60 on petbucket, but my dog is less than 20lbs.

It'd be $110 for a 12 month supply for your dog.

Great site, and they accept coupon codes as well. I also use Pet-i-Supply . com as well but lately they have been hit or miss keeping the product that I use in stock (Bravecto).

I use Heartgard monthly, in addition to Bravecto. I read too many negative things about Trifexis and discontinued its use many years ago.

We used Trifexis on our Pup (RIP) for 14 years. Monthly pill. New Vet tried to get us to switch but we left it alone as the prior Vet recommended not changing on the Old Fella a few years back. Worked well for the Pup.

I've never heard of that. It's always been yearly for me.

I use PetBucket because it's cheaper, not because I don't need a prescription. I don't mind once a year for a dog.

Ivermectin every month for heart worms. Cheaper and works better with zero side effects.

Notn for fleas or ticks. Never an issue
