And his love affair with Frey. I get why Johnson loves Frey he looks the part but he definitely does not play the part. I agree with most of what he says here. It's early in podcast he starts out with the rant.

Ethan Fry has the highest BA on the team. He has 5 more Homers than Brown. He’s acting like Fry has been a scrub.

Yeah I know he's a tool, I usually don't agree with him but Brown should definitely get more playing time or in the line up every game.

Don’t usually agree with him but he’s right. Quit with the analytical bullshite and play your better hitter. Frey and Jones neither one can hit SEC pitching and they’re batting back to back

Jake Brown is not in a platoon with Ethan Frey. Moscona says this because he hates Frey. He dogged him all last season and in the offseason.
The fact of the matter is Ethan Frey is the DH.
Jake Brown plays RF. He has DH'd 1 game this season.
Frey and Brown should both be in the lineup. You can't be in a platoon situation when you don't even play the same position.

You have Brown, Josh, Frey and Larson competing for RF and DH. They all deserve an opportunity to prove themselves. Jay also needs to see who he can count on in big moments. All four should get opportunities in big moments and you figure out your team as the season goes along. This is how baseball works. You had the same situation at 3B. You have the same situation at Sunday starter and bullpen.
Players that have earned opportunities will get opportunities and sometimes in big moments, even if it cost us the game. It gives the coach a chance to see who he can rely on and it helps keep guys out of the portal at the end of the year.

Agree. Matt can be very annoying but he's right about Brown. But he thinks we should keep pitching Shores. Not sure about that one.

Brown makes a lot of mental mistakes which has to be frustrating for a coach. He does seem to be heating up though and should get more time in the lineup going forward
