About to go to the Dr., but I wanted to check opinions here. Never had an allergy toward food, haven’t changed detergents, same diet. Mid 50’s. They are on my cheeks and a little on forehead. Been putting hydrocortisone on it. Any other recs?
Thx

Could be seborrheic dermatitis.
Mind developed later in life. Genetic.
Desonide lotion will treat it. No cure, only can keep it dormant

Any other symptoms? There is a Parvo virus going around. Rashes and joint pain seem to be the major symptoms.

Rosacea
Starts to occur in older people above 50 when out of the blue. See derma, get meds. Problem solved.
What exactly is it? Acne looking or rash?

Would be my guess too.
Unless you have any allergic symptoms. Topical steroids would be where I’d start as well. Could also try Benadryl and Zyrtec.
ETA: if you’re headed to the doctor you’ll likely get a steroid shot.

Could also be psoriasis. Mine showed up suddenly and I've been beating back the outbreak for around a year now. Good news is, light therapy is generally covered by insurance and super effective.

Meaning you go somewhere or have a device? I have seen those mask things with the red lights, no idea if they do anything.

I guess I’d classify it as “acne”. It also just started to spread a little on forehead. Had to cancel Dr appt on Friday, so rescheduled for Tuesday. When I put the hydrocortisone on it, there was a burn for the first 15 minutes or so.

If the "acne" falls only on one of these facial dermatomes, then it could be shingles.

Try an elimination diet. Often it can be food related.
