It’s certainly approaching that time of year. None around me (yet).

Where are you located?

None yet, but we get them every year. I’m sure they’ll be here soon.

I had a condo once that I didn’t know I had termites until they decide to swarm and leave. I walked into my screened porch and saw all these bugs flying around. Looked at the siding and they were dripping out like liquid. Ran into basement and saw all the tell tale signs like the trails and being able to stick a screw driver into a joist with little effort. Thankfully the HOA had to pay for that.

Not yet. I think they swarmed early in May last year here. Metairie.

They usually start a few weeks before Mother's Day. And here we are.

Heard my bug zapper going crazy tonight. Walking through the kitchen and looking out to the street light told me why… termites are swarming all down our street. There is a large amount of rotting timber left over from Hurricane Ida in the servitude areas throughout our neighborhood here in Pumkin Center… would be my guess for a majority of the source.

Tonight is the first night I’ve seen them this year here in Prairieville.

They’ve been earlier the past few years. Guessing the rain last week and warming temps finally got the assholes moving
