How many of you are actually giving up on watching college football?

I get the game is rapidly changing, but I'm not going to stop watching and I'm guessing that neither will most of you. Ratings for the regular season were strong last year, so despite all the doom and gloom, the sport keeps growing.

My Saturdays haven't been monopolized by football all day like they used to just a few short years ago. You can choose to believe that or not, I don't really care much in the same way I don't really care about football outside of LSU.

CFB viewership and revenue will increase IMHO. People will still watch the games. All of this belly-aching ain't gonna change nuthin'.

Im going to watch the LSU games and other games when i'm sitting around on a Saturday, but the idea that this is what it was when i was in college is gone. Sure, ill watch, but i won't be able to ever enjoy it the way I used to.

I haven't taken some hard line boycott stance but my interest is so far down and as a byproduct my intake. If I'm home I'll watch auburn for sure and maybe some other big games but I'm not planning around it at all and it wasn't that long ago i was a 9 am to 2 am guy and hated anyone who got married in the fall

I'm definitely watching less overall. Part of is the changes I won't lie, but part of it is time as well. Two kids under 10 and more things going on have cut into my sports consumption across the board. If I have to choose how to spend my sports watching on weekends in the fall, I'm picking the NFL as of now.

Yup. I'm not sure where they're finding all these record numbers of viewers, as I have plenty of friends that have similarly changed their viewing habits. But whatever, I'm not trying to make some statement

I will watch LSU games. For everything else I'll probably just check scores at the end of the night, maybe check out some highlights on youtube if I see there's a crazy comeback or sequence of events people are talking about. I don't like using the word never because I might watch a few other games throughout the season, but my Saturdays aren't revolving around CFB from morning to night as they used to. That aspect has been gradually dwindling every season for the last few years. Some of it due to the changes in the sport that I disagree with, some of it due to becoming a dad and having new priorities, like I'd rather not spend one of the two full days of the week I have off on the couch all day instead of spending quality time with my son during his most impressionable years.

I would think regular season interest will wane.
While the playoff is too long and goes too late into January, I'm guessing people will still tune in as there is not much else going on then other than NFL playoffs.

The Bama Florida State opener this year will be the last game I go to for a while. The modern game is not built for the ticket buying fan especially the playoff. I'll watch on the couch

We already did this song and dance during the Kaep and similar controversies last decade. Ends up with posts like this:
“I don’t watch the NFL bc they went woke, but I was at the gym and a water bottle flew off the table, hit the remote and changed it to ESPN, then I couldn’t find new batteries for 6 hours, so I just watched first take the whole time- I just can’t believe that very specific thing from this weekend happened! This is why people aren’t watching and the league is dying! Did I mention I don’t watch it anymore?!”

Of course I’ll still watch. But if I have something else to do, I won’t watch. I used to be glued to the couch from College Gameday until late at night. I don’t love it like that anymore. I’ll watch if I’m home and nothing else is going on, but I’m not planning my Saturdays around it anymore. Maybe college football changed or maybe I just grew up. Maybe both.

I kind of already have. I only watched the ole miss/LSU game from start to finish last year. That would’ve been insane to think 5 years ago. Haven’t been to a game in approaching a decade.
Just more into my own kids sports and other sports like NFL, UFC, Boxing, Soccer at this point and the massive changes just kind of turned me off completely.

Once LSU has three losses I go from watching 12 hours of college football a week to watching about 4 hours
