Horrible weekend. No way around it.

We're still 10-5 in conference play and will finish today, at worst, tied for 4th in the conference sitting 3 games back.

We have two elite teams left to play in Tennessee and Arkansas. We get those at home.

We have two below average to above average teams left to play in A&m and Alabama. We get the better team (Alabama) at home.

We then finish with the second worst team in the conference in South Carolina.

No need to throw temper tantrums and panic. We are right on track to get to 20 wins. 19 you're practically guaranteed to be a national seed. 18 you should be as well.

This is all that matters in baseball…we are just practicing right now.

Not with this offense, especially against Arkansas and Tennessee. If they get swept twice at home, they'll be traveling for a regional again.

Not with this offense,
The offense has been good all year. They hit the ball hard all weekend. Ball didn't bounce their way.

Okay, in this scenario (that won't play out that way) whose to say they don't sweep A&m and Scar and take 2/3 from Alabama and go 18-12?

We need to make up some ground by getting more sweeps of our own.

If they get swept 3 weekends in a row I won’t care anymore because I won’t be watching.

Which, thankfully, we have three times this year.

And if Tennessee loses every game the rest of the year, they miss the postseason. What’s the point. Arkansas lost their series this weekend btw. So apparently they are on a downhill slide as well. Maybe they’ll be traveling the postseason as well.

It’s all relative. LSU had a shitty weekend, as did some other really good teams. Other really good teams had good weekends. LSU needs to be much better if they want to to make a run. Other teams can say that as well. Realistically, half the SEC is capable of going on a run and making Omaha. We have to hope that LSU is one of those teams. In the meantime, it’s ok to point out problems with the team after getting swept, it doesn’t mean that the season is over.

Getting swept at Auburn only means we on track for to not be a national seed.

We won’t have a lot of leeway. We had some but after being swept now only 1 game separates #3 seed and #7 in the SEC.

We’ll need 20 wins to guarantee a top 8 seed. Even 17-13 can do it some years but not the case if 17-13 is only good for 6th or 7th in the new expanded league.

10-5 down the stretch is going to be real tough. Need a sweep of Alabama if we’re going to have that expectation. A&M is heating up after starting 1-9, now 6-9 with an explosion of offense

Alabama 3-0
Tennessee 1-2
@A&M 2-1
Arkansas 1-2
@USC 3-0

Well that’s just not true lol. We are 10-5 and therefore on track for national seed

If we don’t start hitting you don’t need to worry about any of that.

You're correct. You can kiss that Top 8 Seed goodbye.

This is his schtick. He’s not a troll though, he’s just Debbie downer from snl every season.

This isn't going to happen. With this offense, either Arkansas or Tennessee, or possibly both, will sweep them.

They won't lose all the games, but the next four weekends (maybe five) will make or break the season. If they have to travel to a regional again, the odds of Omaha go way down.

Ehhhh, not really. A few were definitely hit hard right at the fielder, majority were pop ups and messily fly outs. Bad weekend and they’ll regroup, but let’s not lie about what we saw
