Pretty tight considering those guys are getting up there in age. Tommy Shaw is still really good. I’m no spring chicken, but the crowd was rather geriatric and the show was only about an hour and 35 minutes.

Did they do Mr. Roboto? Those guys absolutely saw into the future.

Tommy Shaw does some of his Styx songs on an episode of Live at Daryl’s House. Check them out on YouTube. Renegade, Blue Collar Man, Too Much Time on My Hands

Was it at a casino? Those shows are usually abbreviated.

They won’t play Mr Roboto due to the fallout with Dennis DeYoung.

Right, considering that was one of the reasons the band dissolved

The one guitarist "JY"? Has one of the most punchable faces in rock.

And that botched face lift didn’t do him any favors.

The list of classic bands with their original lineup is almost non-existent.

That's one reason....the main reason is the song sucked.

So you wouldn’t go see a band that doesn’t have all original members

Mmmm…I think some members are more valuable than others for certain acts. In this case Dennis DeYoung pretty much wrote all of there songs. (I mean had a hit with Lady before Shaw was even in the band)

I’d rather see DeYoung and some fill in for Shaw vs Shaw and a fill in for DeYoung

I’m sure it was a good time. Always loved Blue Collar man, tmtomyh, miss America etc

seen them both ways (wife is a big fan) - Shaw and most of the original band in 2011, DeYoung and a bunch of cover musicians in 2020

both were actually pretty decent, got to meet Tommy Shaw, he was happy to hear that i was the grandson of his favorite teacher in elementary school

he was thrilled to find out that she was still alive at the time (99 years old)

when i told her i met him and he said she was his favorite teacher, she said “he had beautiful penmanship”
