Did Reaves lose his Rotational role at 3B last night?

He seems to struggle defensively at 3B and last night Jay went to Pearson 1st over Braswell. There were a few errors that cost us that game last night but his error would have been an inning ending double play but it opened up a 4 run inning instead. It will be interesting to see if Pearson will be getting more starts now or will it be Braswell at 3B going forward. I am all for seeing what Pearson can do as a starter.

If you are looking for better defense, I’m not sure Pearson is the answer but I’m all for giving him a shot

Braswell is one of the best defensive players on the team…

I’d think he’s trying to balance the risk/reward with defense vs offense. Braswell hasn’t been great at the plate in SEC play, Reaves struggled defensively. Maybe Pearson brings the balance he’s looking for?

Reaves has had some pathetic errors this year, can’t have those in these big SEC matchups… I think they look elsewhere

I think he has to get Braswell on the field and get him more AB’s. He hit SEC pitching last year and needs to see some more pitches. Rotate Pearson in if Braswell continues to struggle.

Reaves is a liability at third.

Reaves is a dreadful defender so if he can't hit (which he of course has struggled recently), play Braswell over him.

Probably went to Pearson since we were down and needed offense. Bras should be (and should have been) your everyday 3B going fwd.

Seems to be living rent free in his own head for the moment.

Prefer Bras at 3rd

Braswell is hitting over .300 in sec play, that includes the 5 times Jay has made him sacrifice bunt also so probably over .350 if you remove those. He clearly should be the only 3rd baseman playing on this team

Pearson is not the answer defensively. Put Braswell in and roll with it.

I’d play Braswell over Reeves just for defense. I’m not sure his bat is that much worse.

I was big on Reaves but he clearly isn’t ready. I’d deal with Brazzy’s black hole bat and keep him at 3B for now.

SAC bunts don’t count as an AB’s, so they have no effect on the BA.

I know Braswell isn't perfect but he looks more comfortable playing 3rd. Like it's night and day compared to last year. Now i could be missing plays just gotta get him ABs to find his groove
