how it started
how its going

quote:
Col. Susan Meyers, the commander of the 821st Space Base Group who also oversees the Pentagon's northernmost military base, sent a March 31 message to all personnel at Pituffik seemingly aimed at generating unity among the airmen and Guardians, as well as the Canadians, Danes and Greenlanders who work there, following Vance's appearance.
She wrote that she "spent the weekend thinking about Friday's visit -- the actions taken, the words spoken, and how it must have affected each of you." "I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base,"
how its going
quote:
The head of the US military base in Greenland has been fired for criticising Washington's agenda for the Arctic island.

Not good enough as demoting with possible court martial should be considered

That's a bit of a knee jerk, don't you think? Military members are normal people. God forbid they have opinions and aren't robots and "yes men".
Removing from command is justified. Ruining the individual's career and negatively effecting their post military career for something that isn't a crime.

What a moron. What did she think would happen? Just planned on being a martyr for the cause?

Is this what our military has become?
My great grandfather's would be pissed.

This is exactly what they are supposed to be publicly. She should have kept her personal opinions to herself.

Tell Mike Flynn that sad tale. In the military undercutting your superiors is worthy of busting down ranks and or getting heavy handed

It's insane that, in such a short period of time, the military ranks have been filled with officers that think they can get away with insubordination. There are a few rules that usually make up the foundation of any military. One of them is respect the chain of command/follow orders. These morons are either dumb as a box of door knobs, or are virtue signaling on their way out the door as they expect to get removed.

This is PRECISELY what makes a strong military, you fool.

It’s almost like this is exactly what they want.
But at the same time it’s mind boggling to be willing to ruin everything you have ever worked for, just to be insubordinate with this administration and throw it all down the drain.
I guess crazy people do crazy things
