I have a Bayou Classic Dual jet burner for crawfish boils. Am I going to have issues using a 20 lb tank?

Nope…20# tank contains a hell of a lot of gas.

Ok thanks ya'll. I was just wondering if the requirement of the jet burners would surpass the ability of the propane to evaporate fast enough.

As the owner of the Stainless double jet bayou classic, yes, with the oem regulator, you will freeze the bottle once it gets about half way if you have it ripping. I usually just put the bottle in a tub of water to keep it from freezing up. Works wonders. Or just get a 30lb tank. It'll run with the stock regulator.

Drill the holes out to a next size up and run a 60psi regulator and let that puppy run!

You really have to put the 20lb tank in a tub of water. A 30 psi regulator will freeze up the tank and reduce your heat output or cause your flame to go out. It always seems to freeze right before it comes back to a boil after you drop crawfish. The water trick works great. I use an old cooler.

I have the same burner. It will freeze a 20lb tank running it high for a long period. Like someone said, put it in water. I took my regulator off and installed a needle valve. I normally put my water in the pot, put the lid on, and turn the fire on low/med while I'm washing crawfish, cutting up fixing, etc... About the time I'm finished, the water is close to boiling. I find it conserves a lot of propane and quieter . Turn it up when you are ready to put your seafood in.

Agree. It will freeze up a 20Lb bottle. Needs to be full or place in water bucket

I have one and changed out the regulator to a 0-60psi after the stock one gave out.

Made a huge difference.
