All the handwringing over whether Trump capitulated or accomplished his goals is pretty ridiculous.

Anyone that thinks Trump getting 70 some odd nations to the bargaining table is a sign of folding by Trump is a moron.

On the same note, anyone claiming he accomplished his stated goals is a moron. (And if you argued he failed because he hasn't brought back jobs in one week or built factories, or got rid of income taxes, you are a moron as well) The game is just getting started.

Trump won Rd 1, which got damn never everyone other than China to come to the table to negotiate trade and whatever else he feels is in our nations interest.

If you are on the left or right and think otherwise, you are letting your biases dictate your opinions.

Can he get more wins? We shall see.

I think he does.

I don't necessarily disagree, but for now you're putting the cost of the bluff/negotiation/whatever you want to call it against the likely gains in negotiations and I think the outcome of that is completely up in the air for the time being.

I like Kevin Leary’s 400% tariff on China idea.

I think more.

frick em. They don’t have any of the restrictions we adhere to. No epa. No human rights. No unions. No OSHA. No respect for intellectual property rights.

They haven’t invented a gd thing on their own since gun powder and a pipeline out of bamboo.

(They made that finger trap thing I guess.)

They buy shite. Reverse engineer it and eliminate R&D and labor costs without adhering to any environmental or labor standards.

No kidding they are kicking our arse.

Bump to a 1000%. Call it a sin tax

Tell me the last time a US president got the rest of the world's leaders to come to the table to negotiate tariffs they had placed on us.

Looks like a win to me.

We're not going to get slammed like Punk Moreland does.

All true.

This chaos may be all done for a menial gain at the end of the day. But it's still better than just sinking lower and lower. If that were the case, then we try something else.

I'd rather this than the importing a bunch of workers to do jobs Americans won't and subsidizing a large percentage of this country with tax dollars. Both the immigrants and the lazy. That seems to be the Progressive strategy.

Trump continues to win. He has the majority of American voters behind him who are no longer fooled by the MSM propaganda machine, and they damn sure aren't fooled by some TDS infected retards on this message board!

Personally I think today was a hopeful sign of a win. Dangerous in precedent but mostly positive in outcome.

If enacting a horribly disastrous policy and reversing course when it implodes is a win.
This is a very big win.

If you get new information and make a decision based off of that, it’s a good thing.

Now, hoping that lessons are learned proactively for the future? Remains to be seen.

To count 74 countries willing to meet and workout a better trade deal lowering prices on goods for all Americans. This is a HUGE win for everyone even though I realize libs will still hate it and come up with a new thing to panic about. Muh what did he win is a good start stick with that one.

Can’t wait to see the “pivot” when half of the touted 70 countries don’t come to the table.

This Administration talks too fricking much. Do the work, then tell me about it after the results are in.

Nothing except "willing to meeting". I take it you prefer fellatio.

When did maga become such pussies?

We'll see what comes of it, but don't pretend this means anything to anyone who has read art of the deal.
