It’s depressing to know that we will never ever win a natty in basketball and Florida has 3 now. And that it could have been us who hired Todd but he was a risky hire.

It feels like these mid major coaches are russian roullette but Golden seemed a little more impressive at the time. To be honest we might have even reached out but we are not the same as Florida these days, not since the 90s

One thing I noticed about both teams is how they didn't wait on rebounds, but it seemed all their bigs skied on every shot, and either really went after the rebound, or slapped it back outside if an offensive rebound. The effort put forth by both team in agressive rebounding was impressive, and something that is sorely missing at LSU. LSU plays extremely lazy by comparison to both of these teams rebounding and defensively. Impressive physical effort by both teams. I hope our coaches can teach our Tigers how important that is for success.

You know you don’t have to comment? When you don’t know anything about the topic you probably shouldn’t.

20 San Francisco 22–12 9–7 5th
2020–21 San Francisco 11–14 4–9 8th
2021–22 San Francisco 24–10 10–6

Florida obviously hit a home run, but let’s not act like he was a sure thing following his last year at SF.

The officiating was 100% Florida from the ten minute mark of the second half. Cost Houston the game.

I mean, three fouls in nine seconds to help get Florida to the penalty. Meanwhile, it is seemingly no problem for UF to arm bar opponents out of the play or down to the floor entirely.

Exactly. Mid major guys are Russian Roulette for the most part. I would have preferred to just not give Mcmahon the contract we did. Even I'll admit though I love the recent staff hires and portal news

I agree, watching Houston rebound then watching LSU rebound.... you'd think we were in biddy ball.

Rebounding is about position too. Something LSU has been awful at the past few years.

For you Florida fellating down voters, go frick yourselves.

One of Houston's bigs fouled out in sixteen minutes and the other had four called in 21 minutes.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that Cougars were regularly getting beaten to the floor, the Gators were called for a total of eleven fouls, with no one over three.

So, yeah, frick you down voters right now.

Mick I don't think you are wrong so don't think I'm coming at you. but it's more to it than just the resume. I think that's where we went wrong with CMM. We hired a resume, that might have been propped up by a really strong Murray st program.

That's why it's important that woody, if we do eventually move on from CMM, learns to look beyond the resume and hire a winner. From day 1 CMM has been talking about year 0s and "we expected this" which, to me, doesn't sound like someone that is able to be successful at LSU.

Did you notice the intensity Houston’s started the game with?
I told my wife about 5 minutes in that Houston should save some energy for the end of the game.
