what tourney was being held in the Basin yesterday? I passed through there around 3 pm and the amount of anglers was insane

Most trucks and trailers and boats fishing I've ever seen from the interstate

Yep, was supposed to be Saturday but pushed back to Sunday due to weather/wind I guess.

As other have said. Louisiana Youth BASS tournament, 90% high-school anglers, buy also some.7th and 8th graders in a "Jr" division.

It’s been tough everywhere. I believe it’ll be tough this weekend also.

If there is a tournament you can guarantee a flood or a cold front lol!
I like the calcasieu, Henderson, and Doirons though. The scopers actually have to fish

You got that right!!!
We didn’t do calcasieu, red river or Henderson. It’s my boys 1st year doing it as a freshman so we new to the game. Pretty sure he’s going to stick with it. He better cause momma and daddy bought a bass cat for him to do this thru high school!

If it doesn't work out, you still have a basscat. Your wife never saw it coming.

The winter tournaments on Caney and Toledo are all livescope now unless you get some warm weather and the fish move up early
Red river is a good one
State is on the ouachita river this year and livescope shouldn’t help too much there especially if the high water sticks around
I will say this though. The MLF tournaments are ran so much better than the BASS ones. The crap they pulled yesterday was BS
It was supposed to be a delayed start but they let everyone start fishing at 645 regardless of boat number Still 100 boats that hadn’t put in yet

It was definitely nuts !!
SAT - I drove across the Basin bridge Eastbound @ noon and there were white caps in the open water areas. Overcast and crazy winds. Saw 1 boat braving mother nature.
SUN - driving back from the Northshore Westbound around 4:30pm there were an insanely amount of boats in the water and truck/trailers at the AB public boat ramp/launch.
Thanks for the Paul Harvey clarification - now I know the rest of the story.

Glad to see that I’m not the only one who thinks these tournaments aren’t run correctly. Thought it was just me being it’s our 1st year and not familiar with the system.
No way there should have been 200 boats on Caney!
