I can see the path of this working out, but he’s not infallible.
There’s a chance he overplayed his hand, and the effects would be felt for many years.
If he alienates the independents and some republicans, the likes of Kamala, Newsome, and Booker will become the country’s leaders.

The way you win at poker is by having the biggest stack. The USA has the biggest stack, bigger than the entire rest of the table combined. The USA will not lose an economic battle.

It’s like an NFL team. You have to do a complete rebuild. If you get chicken shite in the middle of a rebuild and bitch out, you turn into the Saints. It has to be completely ripped down to build it back right.

I remember when Facebook changed their entire website back when it was the thing to be on (way before TikTok, etc)
People screamed and bitched about it for a week and then life moved on because after people accepted the change, they actually realized that the changes Facebook made helped the site become even better than before.
There is going to be a lot of bitching and moaning due to the Mainstream media and uneducated dumbasses that don't know a single fricking thing about the Economy but once the dust settles, America is going to dominate and be a very rich country.
Trump is playing this just right.

It’s a tough issue obviously. Hopefully a great help even if it hurts for a bit, which hopefully it won’t. I pretty much trust the move and Trump though. At least he’s trying to right the ship.

I understand the impulse to play political football with this issue (and I'm certainly no fan of Kamala, Newsom, or Booker), but I just wish we could transcend it and delve into the real world effects of policy. Too much attention is paid to which side of the uniparty "wins" or gets "pwned" during an election and the rhetoric is 99% a smokescreen that divides Americans and strengthens our enemies.

No, just new-ish. In my line of work, my first impulse when encountering somebody online trying to undermine a call for civility and rational discourse is that they're working in a foreign bot farm trying to push civil unrest so "good day to you". Hope they're giving you bathroom breaks.
