So this is really, Kung Fu Kid: Electric Boogaloo
Kids moves to new place (Daniel moving to Receda), meets new girl that's already involved with an alpha male karate guy (Ally and Johnny), gets his arse kicked by alpha male, then Chinese Miyagi teaches him how to properly fight.
I'll still probably watch it.

Is it racist to say this is basically Tokyo Drift but for fighting?
1. Kid moves to new place = Sean moves to Tokyo
2. Meets new girl involved with alpha male = meets Nila whos involved with DK
3. Gets arse kicked by alpha male = Sean gets beat in first drift attempt
4. Chinese miyagi teaches = Han teaches Sean to drift
5*. Assuming new karate kid wins the tournament = Sean beats DK on final drift run
