People in auto industry are saying it's going to impact things a lot

Only new inventory and parts...

but once the sale on new car inventory is over with, things are going to get interesting for foriegn auto folks

Competition scares most people.

Leveling the playing field, weeds out the weak.

Mass panic. Engineers and salesmen agreeing on shite. HR people being non-inclusive. Total chaos.

Zero

But we are all successful business guys, so it's a normal exercise in business to do certain things. So what he's doing is normal and doesn't provoke much conversation

Not just new. People who can’t afford new cars will buy used and with higher demand prices will go up.

Source: I am looking at 2023 cars and they are more expensive than a week ago

A lot.

I work in the Industrial Manufacturing sector and no one really knows what to do. Lot of confusion and uncertainty. Price increases are starting to go into effect for most this month. My company uses mostly domestic suppliers but unfortunately some things have to come from overseas and we can’t just eat the tariffs.

I don’t disagree with the tariffs but the on and off is ridiculous.

Kinda feels like there's no plan at all and the market is just reacting to the whims of a president who changes his mind from week to week

This is the entirety of trumps presidency. I wish he would let the smart people work first before doing this to measure impact / scale. You can do this when economy is good and pace it out but can’t suddenly dump 10 things at once

4 years is a short time span

we only have 2 years to get much done for certain..

Democrats are working overtime to stop everything

this is like when the GOP trying to stop Obamacare..

they had no plan, they just knew they had to play defense.

I trust Trump over the politicians who kick the can and keep us buried in debt

I agree part of the issue is it’s a 4 year cycle so everyone feels they need to do something asap, just don’t think this is good for the country overall.

This is why congress should be the ones making laws as a whole, EO is dangerous
