He has been in minors 4 years now and he is back in Rookie League. I wonder how he would have done 3years at LSU before he went. He was drafted 21 overall. How do you turn that down.

He got $2,300,000 as an 18 year old to go play for the Red Sox organization.

Money wise that’s impossible to turn down, but the odds of mlb 1st rounders making it to the bigs is incredibly small

Getting 2.3 million when you’re 18 years old is nuts. Invest wisely and you’re set for the rest of your life.

After Taxes, agent fees, living expenses. You aren’t set for life as an 18 year old unless can invest like Nancy Pelosi.

Well, Joey Gallo's dead, for one thing.

Trevor Story
Brice Turang
Reece Hinds made it up last year
Soon to be:
Robby Snelling
Jacob Misiorowski
Justin Crawford
Tucker Toman is the one from that class that clearly made a mistake from a development standpoint. Has been struggling in A ball for 3 years and didn't get a non-roster ST invite this year,

For every Mikey Romaro, there’s a Daniel Cabrera. Fell in the draft cause they knew he wanted to go to LSU. Woulda gone 1st/2nd rd but the story was out. Had a good LSU career, still went 62 overall & made some $ but is wallowing away in the minors and will be selling insurance soon. Sometimes the decision to go to school backfires, sometimes it pays off, sometimes you end up right where you woulda been. It’s all a crap shoot

My parents were friends with a couple who's son was a catcher that was committed to LSU. He got drafted in the sandwich round. The family didn't need the money and my mom was 100% sure that the mom wouldn't let him sign, college was too important. This was late 90s. He signed and never made it out of the minors. CSB

He was drafted in 2022 and played rookie ball that summer. He missed most of 2023 due to a back injury and spent 2024 in High A and AA ball. He had a nice spring according to reports and the plan is to start the season in AA with the expectation of being called up to AAA.
He’s 21 and right on time. Not sure what you were expecting.
