Need to go Aussie. David Patrick has great connections there.LSU has long history there: Paluninskas, Andy Campbell, Davy Malone, Ben Simmons, I believe Gerry Hammink’s kids grew up there. Last Tear Poa and there was another Lady Tiger a few years ago who was talented.

Too many fairies over there. Need to get Luis on staff and get a PR/DR pipeline going
Eta: sorry wrong sport. Fairies can play basketball

Don't forget Australian Olympic team member Duop Reath.

We will be recruiting internationally this cycle. Big reason coach brought David Patrick on board. We’re recruiting a kid named Marcus Vaughns out of Australia pretty hard right now.

It seems like every team in the top 20 these days has a 6-11 rim runner with a 7-4 wingspan from Africa.

Florida seems to be doing a good job of this. Maybe we aren’t paying enough?
Honestly, I thought there was a rule where international players can’t get NIL $. Wasn’t Last-tear Poa not getting paid? Maybe payments from NIL collectives are a way around that. I’m not sure - just asking the question

Florida on paper looks nothing like a top 5 NIL roster. it's called coaching too.

Every starter besides Alex Condon was a transfer portal acquisition for Golden and the Gators.
Florida remains well-positioned to attract top-tier transfers, thanks in large part to its significant financial backing in Name, Image and Likeness deals. According to Joe Tipton, a national basketball reporter for On3, the Gators' NIL budget will be ranked among the highest in the SEC.
“I’ve been told Florida will have one of the top basketball NIL budgets in the SEC,” Tipton said in a post on Gators Online on Tuesday. “Likely only behind Arkansas and Kentucky. They will get some DUDES this offseason.”

Also, back in Australia, the NBL Next Stars Program is recruiting me. The NBL will be something I consider, but I also want to take the college option seriously and let it play out," Vaughns said.

So Mcmahon is going to have LSU a top seed now that he has major NIL money. Some of you actually believe this? He can't even say with confidence on the radio that we will be one of 14 SEC bids to make the NCAA tournament.
What's wild is Mcmahon apologists act like all of our problems are NIL. This program has issues at every single level, including the top.

Imagine not understanding that Golden is 5x the coach Matt Mcmahon is.

I’m amazed at these kids that can play for a short while and have success

Basketball fans been through a lot of bad past 20 years. Everyone thrilled with Woodward hire, but he took similar very unpopular position as Alleva and actually had the balls to fire Wade before his team went to the tournament. It’s a travesty and real FU to legit fans who finally had an enjoyable product to watch. I don’t think McMahon has the goods to do anything. I hope he proves me wrong. I liked the hire when it happened but it’s been a rough 3 years. Silver lining I believe is if they actually come through with improved NIL, if McMahon can’t get it done (highly likely) improved NIL and the ire from basketball fans might make them make a more thoughtful and for sure hire to stop the suffering of the true lsu basketball fans might make. I’m embarrassed for myself having to tell my 4 yo after every basketball game that we didn’t use to lose every game back when he was a baby.

There was a thread about “why would we want this guy”. It’s interesting how many people are now interested.
