But everyone knows the Saints are in the market for a young QB to build around, like Sanders, and sooner or later they'll have to get one.

LINK

Liklihood of Saints going for their QB of the future quickly is well, likely.

Been saying this on here.

Some of ya’ll swearing we’re married to Carr. Naw.

quote:

"Shedeur has talked to me intently about all the visits with all the teams he's had, so I know where his heart is and where he wants to go," Sanders said. "If it's New York, it's New York. If it's Tennessee, if it's Cleveland, if it's still the Raiders, if it's New Orleans, if it's any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback, I'm happy with it, man, because I know what he's going to do to the organization. I know what he's going to do."

The Saints went from 200 to 1 odds to pick first to 26 to 1 odds over night. I think they are doing what they can to trade up for Ward.

Def agree. If not then we are definitely looking at the next guys up.

And teams are lying about how much they like Ewers and Dart. Playing possum it seems.

IF for some stupid reason, the Titans stay at 1 and take Carter, I think we are throwing picks at the Browns for #2. They are stuck with Watson for at least 2 more seasons, so they may be willing to punt QB decision to next season.

Would you take on Watson's contract to give up carr's just to save some draft assets?

I actually would consider it.

Nothing about being married to Carr, but he isn't going anywhere this year due to the cap hit we'd take, and with only 1 year remaining after it's likely we'll let him finish out unless the rookie really shows out this year. And let's be realistic about how many rookie QBs show out each year...

Titans can’t not take a QB. They have positioned themselves to take a QB. They can’t trot Will Levis out there again. And NYGs will take a QB if one falls to them.

I seriously hope we don’t take Dart at 9.

If we want to take Tyler Shough or Kyle McCord or somebody in a later round I’m fine with that. But I just can’t see Milroe or Dart being a good NFL QB. And I can’t see us moving up to get Sanders or Ward. It would take a Ricky Williams type haul and I’d be pissed!

Titans can’t pass up a package similar to what Chicago got

Not this year, as we would lose a ton of cap next year, as well as have eaten 17 mil additional on a bonus and more in guarantees from a converted salary when we could have just cut bait beforehand.

Next, yes there are many realistic ways we can go with him, even if the current most logical is to keep and restructure, we at least have other legit options.

This year, we do not. Cutting or trading post June 1st this year is not realistic.

The calculator deems it possible. Not sure where you’re getting confused. Is the calculator wrong?

We aren’t discussing realistic. We are discussing a possibility.

I edited, but just checked and I am wrong about losing cap next year.

But the fact remains we just gave him something like 30m in more guaranteed money (checked and we gave him 47m more in guarantees this year between the 17m roster and 30m restructure), only to trade him to save 1m? That is legit stupid.

Edit:
And yes, of course it is "possible" in the sense of the dumb and dumber quote. Like Loomis would need to get a lobotomy or be fired. And we all know that first thing is more likely.

Neither are worthy as a 1st round grade and huuugge reaches.

I certainly wouldn’t want Deion crawling up the Saints coaches asses for any amount of time so there’s that.

Leave QBs in this draft alone and worry about it next year.
At least Carr is a decent man and professional.

Pick a homeboy in Campbell and be happy.

Agreed. Shedeur being discussed as dropping out there first round was hilarious.

Want to see his throw session coming up, def. and Dart.

Ward looked amazing, Ewers was accurate as all get out.

We are going to use Carr as a vet placeholder for 1 year, draft the future, and keep Rattler as a backup plan.

Seems pretty clear to me.

Read the quote, you think Deion is clueless re: what teams are looking QB early. Nawww.

Folks being pissed about the idea of KM and the saints letting him go after the QB he wants is making me pissed.
