Could the CIA be responsible for this SIGNAL Gate debacle?

Ratcliffe told the SSCI the Signal App had already been installed on the government phones used for this group chat, its reasonable to suspect the CIA could access and manipulate directory information.

Eh, some pissed off staffer added the guy to the chat in an attempt to make the administration look bad... Same with removing Tuskegee Airmen in response to killing DEI, etc...

I've been wondering about this -- you come into one of these jobs and have all these people tell you what you can and can't do, where you're supposed to communicate, whatever. I guess you have to do as you're told, but it seems like everyone is basically controlled in that respect. I can actually see how someone like Hilldawg would want to do some things off the books. In this particular case, I wondered if this group wanted to communicate outside of NSA/CIA control using Signal. But, what we now know is it was authorized or even prepared for them. I don't know how you avoid all of the traps the deep state can set.

Really you can't but you can expedite weeding out the crazies in the IC and LE communities, which is going to be the vast majority of those that have worked there for 20 years or more...

I believe that the screenshots clearly show a JG as part of the group.
Best way to handle this is to say, yeah we f'd up here, it won't happen again. Hegseth, Vance, et al will get pilloried either way, but owning the frick up will make it go away faster

And the story gets dropped right before a Senate hearing with US intelligence officials that were going to spend 4 straight hours detailing how the Democrats and Biden administration had basically let the country become a haven for terrorists.
It gave the Democrats senators a story to distract in the hearing.

It sounds like the CIA/NSA, as they got two convoluted directives accomplished. Show the neocon of Waltz to confuse making it political enraging MAGA.... but the objective is to stain Trump in a scandal with Hillary posting the Atlantic article before anyone sipped a cup of coffee.

Nope. Just a mistake. And after reading more on it, Hegseth wasn't really at fault. He was using whatever was set up for him. Whoever invited the journalist, knowing there could be classified info on it, is the one who will be punished.
