My sister gave me an olive oil set for Christmas and it has been a great gift. I got the chile/lemon/basil/garlic package plus a bonus bottle of garlic pepper.

Great to use as salad dressing and marinade.

Friend,

For over a decade now we only purchase Bramasole olive oil. They would never cheapen their product by infusing it. I guess a lower grade olive oil might be elevated through infusion, but a good olive oil is best in its natural state.

LINK will likely make you a believer. I also strongly encourage readers to consider making a bottle of fine olive oil, such as Bramasole, your
host or hostess gift. Bringing a bottle of wine reveals a lower class upbringing and it is usually the cheap way out. A bottle of great olive oil announces distinction and generosity.

I still do value a great bottle (glass of course) of olive oil. This is simply a fun and tasty alternative.

Blessed days ahead.

This place is a couple miles from where we live. They do olive oils, both pure & infused, and balsamic vinegars. Family run, organic and local (to me). Have used them many times to send gift baskets.

not a fan of infused olive oils. rather the real deal. I feel that the infused tastes artificial.

There's a great place in Pass Christian, Ms. that we enjoy going to. They'll let you try the oils and vinegars and are very helpful.

Is this what poor people do? We only use our own pressed olive oil

The lemon garlic one is phenomenal if you toss your pasta in it before covering with alfredo sauce.

The chile one i have is really good with a grilled chicken salad as marinade and a dressing. I put some red pepper flakes in the garlic one and it’s an excellent bread dip.

We have converted to infused vinegars. Stays fresher tasting much longer. My wife uses them to make some dynamite salad dressings.

I have several bottles I purchased the last time I visited La Jolla. If you live locally, you just bring the empty bottles back and they refill them straight from wooden barrels.

RedStick Spice Lemon Garlic olive oil. My wife puts it on everything. Maybe something's wrong with me, but I don't get any quality OO taste at all. The lemon tastes like a cheap extract and the garlic leaves a harsh metallic aftertaste. If I want a decent flavor profile, start with a good OO, squeeze a lemon and smash a clove of garlic.
