Have some flight credits to burn and was looking for a new place to visit in late May/June. Two adults, 4 day max trip. Would like somewhere out west, preferably with minimal driving to main attractions/hiking areas. Recommendations for lodging would be a plus. Been to Tennessee too many times to count. Thank you.

I enjoyed my hikes in WA outside of Seattle. There's a website run by the washington trails association (WTA) that provides a map of the location of hikes, length, difficulty, and more WTA site. Scroll down to the hike finder map or take a look at their database. Late May and June are still the end of the rainy season so it could be nice or you could get some rain. Also the snowpack could still be an issue for higher elevation hikes.

I'm not sure when highway 20 opens up but the north cascades are beautiful. You can also take highway 2 or I90 to go up into the mountains. Bellingham is a cool town on the water if you go north, could do some whale watching type activities as well. If you wanted to stay in or near seattle, I'm sure others on here could add some input. Someplace like Bellevue or Issaquah would be perfectly inbetween. Woodinville has some wineries nearby. Snoqualmie Falls for some viewing

Just one suggestion for you. Very easy to get a cheap/direct flight in and out of SEA as well. $240 roundtrip for a long weekend in early June, not bad LINK

Tetons, Yosemite, Sedona

All have great hikes, but aren't the easiest places to get to.

It would be tough to do these in your 3-4 window though

flight in and out of SEA

If you do this route, OP, look at the flight times very carefully. Anytime I flew from SEA to IAH or ATL, if you didn't get a flight by about 2PM, you weren't getting a direct flight out until close to 11PM. A ton of flights leave before 7AM, as well, so be careful with your planning (yes, I saw the flights with multiple connections and multi-hour layovers, involved, but the more hours spent on a travel overall on a short trip, the more wasted time there is.)

Fly into Vegas and hit up Zion NP. (2.5 hr drive from there) Stay in St George or Springdale, UT.

Fly into Denver to get up to Rocky Mtn NP. (90 min drive) Stay in Estes Park or Boulder.

Santa Fe, NM. Plenty of lodging and hiking. Easy road trip up to Taos resort area.

Telluride. Great hiking, fun town, fly into either telluride or montrose and get a shuttle to town. Rent a jeep for a day to go exploring.
