Not a banner night for the pen. Hope some young arms matured from it.

There were a lot of "bad" strikes from the BP, that turned abysmal quick.

You put freshmen in a bad spot on the road on the SEC and you should expect these things

So is William Schmidt not allowed to pitch in big spots on the road all year? Is Casan Evans not allowed to close road games this year?

Was Griffin Herring not allowed to do that? Chase Shores? Guidry? Shut the frick up man.

Young pitchers got rattled in a hostile environment. They will learn and get better. Guidry will boost this bullpen a lot I think.

No, he will have to pitch in big spots. But it would be nice to ease him into those spots. Perhaps a SEC game in which he has a 6 run lead and can come into a clean inning would be a good starting point.

Do you want Jay to hold their hand until their sophomore year? This is big boy baseball. They need to experience hostile road environments and learn from adversity at some point.

This bullpen will be damn strong come post-season. A lot of young arms trying to figure it out. They’ll get there.

And we are sure he’s pitching this year why?

For the millionth time, why are you ignoring the context of that pitching change. It was a 2 run game when the decision was made. The second batter of the top half got out. The second out was made when it was 6-2.

You're not getting Schmidt up and ready when Cowan was already hot. Then, once you have the lead and he gets a clean inning, you save the rest of the bullpen for the remainder of the weekend.

In the context of the gam/weekend, it was the right call.

If LSU had a 6 run lead for 3 or 4 innings, and then he brought Cowan in, it would have been the wrong move.

The answer is anything that Jay does that doesn't work is wrong. That's the entirety of his though processing ability. He's not very intelligent and his wrong, objectively and subjectively, the vast majority of the time.

You know you can warm up multiple guys at once right?

He’s the one who said preseason he has double digit arms they liked. He even said in a presser that Skip said you think you do but you always just need to hope you have eight. Jay was wrong
