LSU baseball isn't about winning every SEC game

LSU Baseball is about winning two of three the 3rd weekend of June. I like this opportunity to get some experience for the pitchers in super regional feeling weekend at UT regardless of the final outcome tonight.

This game was there to be won. Some missed opportunities. Not the end of the world, but if they lose tomorrow they will be kicking themselves.

People are going to incorrectly interpret this as "who cares if we win" but you're right. This is extremely valuable experience for guys like Schmidt, Benge, Eyanson, et al. to see in March.

The goal is always to win at least 2 out of 3. Skip emphasized that 30 years ago.

People forget how bad our pen struggled late in the 2023 season. We are down 1 against the #8 team in the country who swept MSU on the road. We have a good team, just some unproven bullpen arms.

Swept a series, so that gives you room to lose one and still end up 20-10. Ideally, no series are lost, but baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.

I highly doubt we win this one but not all is lost. Come back tomorrow, take 2 of 3 from one of the best teams in the country, on the road, and it's a huge weekend.
