Bing threw 55 and he has started some Sunday games for Texas
Riojas threw 56 and he has been a key bullpen guy

That might limit their availability this weekend
Both probably won't be available until Sunday if at all

They threw on Tuesday, I would imagine they can come back Saturday.

Curious… why would they throw them mid week if they’re “key guys”

Either they aren’t that important to the rotation or their coach is a moron

ETA: that game was on Tuesday.. they will be fine to throw on Saturday/sunday

throwing 55 pitches on Tuesday isn't going to call into question whether they'll be available at all this weekend.

All this means if we want to win the series it's very important for us to take care of business tonight.

They aren't their best pitchers, but they have used them a good bit. 20.1 IP for Riojas and 14.1 IP for Bing. For comparison Shores has 23.2 IP, Cowan has 18.1 IP and Schmidt has 14.1 IP.

Both Riojas and Bing will be available for the entire weekend. Last week Ware threw 59 pitches on Tuesday, then pitched again on both Saturday and Sunday. Schmidt threw 73 pitches last Wednesday, then threw again on Saturday.

1. They won't be limited at all by having pitched on Tuesday.

2. They didn't use Bing at all last weekend in their SEC opening series, so I would hardly call him a key pitcher. Riojas threw 2 innings.

Because of 50 pitches on Tuesday?

We win if we don’t give away free passes and let the best defense in LSU baseball history play defense.

Skip always stressed how important it was to win game 1, because then all you had to do was win 1 out of 2.

DVH would start either of them on Friday and let them go for 100+.

I think they'd be available before Sunday under many coaches.

Do we really think he does this on purpose? Some trolls are obvious, but he may just lack brain cells.

Either way I don't get what a person gets out of pretending to be a dumbass, if that's his goal.

It’s not on purpose, he’s really that stupid. But that doesn’t stop everyone from taking him serious

I've been told, the rule of thumb is 1 Hour of Rest per Pitch is roughly how they figure down time. So a little over 2 days rest

Ruger Riojas is absolutely one of Texas' key relievers. And he did throw close to 60 pitches on Tuesday.

But he will also be available at least on Saturday and Sunday.

They don't have a ton of bullpen depth. That's why they're using key guys on a Tuesday against UTSA. They greatly benefitted from playing two 7 inning games against Mississippi State.

I'd love a nice 9 run win tonight with a lot of deep counts and a lot of base runners, but don't give them the out of 10 run rule so that we can wreck their bullpen for the rest of the series.
