What’s the bigger mistake by Woodward?

Hiring McMahon at all, or hiring him and then not giving him the financial support to put together a competitive team? In the NIL era, if you don’t have the cash to get the players, I don’t think John Wooden would win.

LSU brass never really supported Wade when he was here. Why didn’t we have a bag man? Other schools do, also promises were made to Wade when he was hired that was never fulfilled

Wade just won an NCAA tourney game with McNeese. MCNEESE. How big do people think McNeese's NIL fund is? They would destroy McMahon's squad if they played.

I’m just saying if we didn’t give him the money to get the team, then that’s the bigger failure. I have no idea what we spent on the roster this season. I know people say that the top of the league was in the $8-10 million range.

I think the mistake was hire him in the first place.
At this school to coach basketball you have to have a dynamic personality to sell the program. You are competing for money, attention, etc. if you don’t demand it, it’s not going to happen.

His biggest was firing Will Wade. He should have been giving him an extension.
But instead he fired the best coach we've possibly ever had and gave a huge contract to a midmajor, midget coach, all in the name of "saving" the football team.

You people really believe the bullshite that comes out of the fat man's mouth about Mcloser not having enough NIL money to be competitive, that's the biggest crock there is he said that to cover his arse on how bad he fricked up hiring the worst the coach in college basketball,and he won't fire him now because he will look just like the horses arse he is! I wonder how much truth there was to that saving football stuff. If it had any truth WW had to go. But I can’t help but to think it was mostly excuse. The NCAA undoubtedly wanted WW head though. Dude did get caught on wire tap.

Even if firing WW saved FB, it’s over. He could do the right thing, fire McLoser and hire WW and all is forgiven. He would be the instant GOAT AD if he somehow did that and stole Wade from NC State

McMahon's problems are much bigger than NIL.
