How do you think LSU's pitching is doing so far? Is it where it should be this point in the season? Do you think it gets better as the season goes on? I don't get to watch enough games to really know if it is where it should be or if it needs to get better for the better teams in the conference?

A lot of work to do
Middle relief a huge question mark

It’s early

If you listen to Hold That Tiger 10 its good as advertised. But our # 2 and 3 guys struggled this week against the worst team in the SEC

Got some work to do. I think they are good. Just not elite yet.

They’ve got to work ahead. Wayyyy too many at bats pitching from behind, running up counts, pitch counts high leading to short outings. You’ve got a tremendous defense use it! Pitch to soft contact get out of stat chasing k’s let them happen naturally

Think at times they get too precise trying to execute the perfect pitch.

Based on what we saw this weekend against Missouri this kind of pitching in Austin may lose the seriesc but who knows what can happen. Next week they could look much better.

I’m not worried as long as we are averaging more than 10 runs a game on offense and giving up less than 4 per game on the mound.

We are a legit offensive team with a more than capable pitching staff.

Some work to do but I'm not worried about it. Our pitching has a tendency to really step up late in the year under Coach Johnson so far.

Our Saturday and Sunday starters are iffy. Evans and Cowan are bright spots. Evans reminds me of Herring attitude wise.

Starting pitching is the Biggest Concern. Anderson took a step forward. Shores and Eyanson took Big Steps Backward!

But that was not the tenor of his post, which was that it wasn’t great this weekend, and we could lose the series to Texas if it doesn’t improve. Note the use of the words “could” and “if”. That’s not sky-is-falling stuff right there.

Its pretty good. The bullpen is relatively young, but whats important is they have the pieces, they are just going to take time to decide who comes in in what situations. Theyll prob lose the series next weekend, but i think that has more to do with the situation, and less to do with the pitching specifically

From what we heard he had a very good fall. We could definitely use him.

LSU coaches harp on same arm slot for every pitch and hiding the ball. Constantly tinkering with pitchers mechanics which creates consistency issues

So what is the problem?? The pitching coach? They seem to have regressed.
