Would WW have had similar success…in your opinion?

Yes, they’re basically the same.

Nicholls was actually in a better place. They won the Southland regular season in '21 and '22. The coach did so well he got a job at UTSA. They had enough on the roster that two games into the new coach's tenure he beat the fricking clown at LSU. McNeese had been a Southland doormat for a decade.

Just thinking of how much fun it would’ve been for Thibodaux with WW in our city.

Probably not. It was the relationship with McNeese's AD that was the difference.

had you not started this thread would we have achieved world peace? It hard to say.

No, he would not have had the same success. McNeese has an NIL fund used primarily for basketball while Nicholls does not.

Nicholls doesn’t have any money. Would have been hard to get good transfers in.

Wade is a fantastic recruiter. He built the McNeese team through transfers, he would have done the same at Nicholls.

McNeese has done a good job promoting basketball, had a new arena and committed to NIL
He's making 700k base at McNeese that will be over 800k this year. Would Nicholls pay that?

That is a different question and I think the answer is no.

Yeah. Both Richie Riley and Austin Claunch were solid coachers, and either would be an upgrade over what we have.

He built the McNeese through transfers and an NIL budget close to $2 million.

He would have beat us by 20 last year rather then 1.

With what money?
Is there 0 money in the Houma/Thibodaux area? In addition to recruiting (and coaching IMO), WW is a fantastic fundraiser. He might get a little of Rouse's or Chouest's money going to Nicholls MBB.

He could have won the Southland mid-level Sunbelt talent. He is dominating it with upper-level Sunbelt talent. That is just one man's opinion.
The money is probably why he was not going to end up at Nicholls, though.
