Loved that team as a kid.

The market is there, has to happen within the next decade or so right?

Sucks that team is gone.

I grew up in Chicago during the Bulls second three peat but rooted for Seattle because I was a contrarian.

Only if Bezos wants to get into a dick measuring contest with Balmer, but he doesn't seem like the type.

Someone like him would have to buy out a Sacramento or New Orleans type of franchise and move time to Seattle, as well as build a new arena. Probably looking at a $4-6B price tag to do all that.

NBA has been pretty transparent that they’re going to expand. Vegas will get one, I would think Seattle gets the other and they become the Super Sonics

Birth rates in the area plummeted when Kemp left.

I want to say they've got $$$ lined up from the city for a team. There was a big article a few years back about how things were set up. I think everyone is waiting for LeBron to retire so he can be part of the ownership group for the Las Vegas team, and then they come in as a matched set with Seattle.
