The wife and kid love going to these.

They normally have some celebrity guests I'm willing to drop my hard earned money on meeting/getting an autograph.

This past January at the Fan Expo, I met William Shatner. Dude is old, and I figured this would probably be my last chance to get an autograph.

Anway, the GalaxyCon in July has some solid guests

They normally add more celebrities as the date of the con gets closer.

I wish they had the whole cast. but that looks intriguing.

Can LeVar bring Troy ... and Troi... with him?

Maybe Jason Isaacs will pack his prosthetic from White Lotus for Aspercel.

Are these people seriously considered celebrities?

Are you suggesting the man who played Kunta Kinte, and hosted Reading Rainbow isn't a celebrity?

Some of the most interesting conversations that I've had are with "low level" celebrities at these cons.

The episode when the real life Dr. Brahms finds the holodeck program that Geordi created of her and replays the part where Geordi is making out with Holo-Brahms is all time cringey.

There was an interesting story from someone who was a regular on Buffy or Firefly - actors can make $$$ going to cons and people make a big deal over them. It beats getting paid nothing for a role in small budget movie and having to deal with an a-hole director. So a lot of folks just give up their careers to do these things

DeLancie and Patrick Stewart use to do a bit at cons, Stewart would be on stage taking questions from the audience and DeLancie would walk up to the audience mic and announce, “I’VE got a question… “Captain.”

One of the lame new Star Trek shows did kill off Q, but he apparently got better. Massive waste of a great talent, but what do you expect from current day.
