Um, depends on the system.

I would imagine they could audit systems that involve federal funds to the extent those funds are used.

No states first

The biggest problem is the federal government in all this

Why do I get the feeling that Louisiana would need one of the 5 biggest DOGE teams?

Understood. But couldn't they limit federal money to a state. Unless a complete audit of all distribution was given?

Can't wait till the blockchain takes over and ever single dollar is traceable

How do you think federal funds work now? there are so many audits, evaluation etc for local and state governments and how they use the funds. If you want example of what happens when you misappropriate them there's almost always a story about it in Oklahoma news. We're one of the deepest red states and all the Republicans have done is rob us, destroy education, and given their buddies tax breaks to take money out of state....

They CAN be influenced with Federal Dollars, eh?

Link?

Louisiana had a D Governor for 8 years and a spineless Legislature controlled by ambulance chasers.

I think we got y'all beat.
I would move to OK tomorrow.

A private school voucher program funded with federal pandemic relief dollars selected schools for preferential treatment, awarded funds to families not facing financial hardship, and then ran out of funds that could have been used by families that were, according to an audit released Tuesday.

Of the $10 million Gov. Kevin Stitt allocated to the Stay in School program, $6.5 million didn’t align with the program’s purpose, which was to help families impacted financially by the pandemic continue to send their children to private school.

The audit also found:

• $12.2 million in CARES Act is questionable because the state couldn’t document the payments were made for COVID-19-related expenditures;

• $1.6 million in excessive administrative costs to an Oklahoma City foundation administering the emergency rental assistance program;

• $1.8 million for the Bridge the Gap Digital Wallet program, mostly spent by participants on items that were not educational.

Federal dollars spent incorrectly could have to be repaid to the federal government.

It's so fricking bad. The OTA is right there with them. Quasi private and quasi government entity that can take your land for their roads and then charges you forever for them and doesn't maintain them worth a frick....

Each state should want to do this but that is a hell no on the feds making them do it. Less federal government the better. Inspect what you expect should be the citizens of their own states moto.
