Xavier isn’t a bad team. they have a legit schedule this far and have beaten some better teams to get to 7-9.

I inagine Schmidt would have pitched more if we didn’t come out and immediately hang dong on them.

After that I assume the plan was to used 4-5 guys to finish out the run rule game and have pretty much everyone available this weekend.

Noot may be the only guy burned but could definitely still
pitch sunday.

Lol some of you just spew shite out of your arse. Tennessee beat them 13-1 in a midweek game.

He's probably thinking ab N. Alabama, who Tenner only beat 7-5

Not that it means much on March 12, but Xavier does have the #2 RPI, based on their #1 ranked SOS

Yeah Xavier I think should do fine in conference and make the tourney. They haven't even played a home game yet.

They need to work on their hitting. Leadoff guy had 3 homers but an 0.093 average. Numerous others below 0.150

They should make the tourney? Not sure how you can say that with any reasonable confidence

dropping routine fly balls is the sign of a bad team

Schmidt

His days of pitching in the midweek are over, unless he needs a bullpen day where he throws an inning.

Will be interested to see how he does out of the pen this weekend. Some starting pitchers need their routine to get hot and do not fair as well out of the pen.

Their leadoff hitter was Jake Lambdin, the announcer described him as their best hitter and D1 shows that he is batting .339. But he also did say that there were only two hitting for good average and that several were below .100.

Jay said in the pregame interview that Schmidt wouldn't go more than 2 innings no matter what. So I don't think our offense scoring touchdowns every inning had anything to do with pulling him early.

Schmidt (maybe not this weekend) with be a big time bullpen arm on weekends moving forward.

I think LSU has done this multiple times this year…

Edit: that will likely get twisted into people thinking I’m saying LSU is a bad team, which I’m not

Which games? I haven’t seen much sloppy baseball in the ones I have watched.

I know Jared Jones had one earlier in the year. Last night I would consider the ball that dropped in CF to be pretty routine, some might disagree though. I think LSU has been good this season defensively minus the catcher position.
