I love this baseball team. We look a little more complete each game.

We will win our 8th natty this year by disposing of the Vols in the finals. Book it.

Who knows how the year unfolds, but Tennessee is a better team right now. They may go back to back.

Not currently. Eyanson and Shores worry me a bit, but once they are settled in they are fine. I am expecting some tough situations but I like how CJJ is giving them room and confidence to get through the tough situations. Fontenot seems good as well.

Let the boys settle in, it’s till early, they are working out the system and kinks before they reach their true potential. We also have Guidry on the back burner.

I expect is to win 20+ for sure this year and I see us going to Omaha. For now let’s just enjoy the ride!

LSU is about as athletic in the field as any Tigers team I've seen. They just don't beat themselves defensively.

We have enough pitching to win the SEC (and beyond). Just need to find the plate a little more often.

Yes, they are proving to be a fun team to watch.

Of course you're going to get donvoted but it's just the truth right now. Obviously we won't know until SEC play gets going, but Tenn looks like the best team in the country rn. We have the talent to win it all, and it doesn't matter who's "the best" right now, just who's playing the best at the end.

Stanfield seems to be a cog we needed badly, he does the little things that help hold it together.

In my opinion, although better, pitching is going to struggle until Schmidt is in the weekend rotation:
1. They throw a bunch of strikes. They don’t have the command to overcome the umpires are forcing it to be on the white. That is going to hurt. I’ve seen a lot of fly outs because of it.
2. Catchers including Hernandez have struggled blocking pitches that are in the dirt. These are “out” pitches that pitchers need especially when they are trying to induce ground balls.

Schmidt has the ability to command to all quadrants.

Schmidt literally just hit 3 batters and walked 2 more in the midweek. He’s not gonna start on the weekends. Sorry

Yep - as did every single pitcher last weekend (not this one but there were still far too many walks) and during the week. His multiple pitches are going to separate him as the season progresses.

Finals of the SEC tournament maybe. Those thugs will choke in the Super and Vitello will cry like the bitch that he is.

Who of Schmidt and Ware moves to the bullpen for SEC play? Or do both and we just piece together midweeks?

There's always a concern about pitching before we enter SEC play. We don't know what we truly have until the heat and pressure get turned way up. I like what I've seen from the starters and closer. Middle relief guys giving up walks is a legitimate concern.

Defensively, this team has been bad arse thru the first month. I'm so excited to see the boys make hard plays look easy and errors have been very limited.

Offensively, I really like what I have seen from the hitters. They don't expand the zone much swinging at balls. They are patient hitters that pick good pitches and put the ball in play. It's amazing how many basehits we have had in play while playing against the shift.

Lastly, we have plenty of power to win it all. We.all want to see more, but sometimes grinding out base hits and manufacturing runs is the recipe to winning. Sometimes we mash em.deep to win.

To the Op's point I love this team. Let's get a good start to SEC play, unlike last year, and make a run to Omaha!
