Trump will NOT restore military aid to Ukraine if just a minerals agreement is signed

As U.S. and Ukrainian officials prepare to meet in Saudi Arabia this week, President Donald Trump has privately made clear to aides that a signed minerals deal between Washington and Kyiv won’t be enough to restart aid and intelligence sharing with the war-torn country, according an administration official and another U.S. official.

Trump wants the deal, which would give the U.S. a stake in Ukraine’s mineral resources, signed. But he also wants to see a change in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s attitude toward peace talks, the officials said, including a willingness to make concessions such as giving up territory to Russia. Trump also wants Zelenskyy to make some movement toward elections in Ukraine and possibly toward stepping down as his country’s leader, the officials said."

No. Most of us want innocent people to stop dying. Most of us want Ukrainian people to have a country of their own.

We don’t want to keep sending money over there that disappears into a war machine that cannot deliver a decisive win to Ukraine while Ukrainian officials continue to make social media posts showing how rich they’ve become.

It’s that simple.

Well ya, a mineral deal is worthless if there is active war. Zelensky will be removed soon imo

Don't give a flying frick about Ukraine either way. Why is it the American taxpayers obligation to defend Ukraines borders? If they can't do it, maybe they shouldn't exist as a country. How can they stand as an independent country if theyre dependent on others to sustain their existence. Since the beginning of time, there's been the conquerors and the conquered. I hardly see the justification that Ukraine should be a multi hundred billion expense for a nation 36 trillion in debt.

Trump is dicking the dog on this. Stop everything to Ukraine and the war ends. If you want the minerals, just go take them. Ukraine can't do anything about it. If you don't want the minerals, then let it go. He's going to frick this up and waste a bunch of time when there are other things to take care of.
