Lonn said just the other day it was Al Davis from Missouri so his source cred is lacking

Lonn posted this 3 hours ago. How long until he deletes it. It’s a picture of Mike Elston.

Any more reputable sources than Blake Ruffino reporting this hiring? Others are simply saying "targeting". Hope he's not pulling a Lonn.

LSU has targeted Kyle Williams as its next defensive line coach, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation told The Advocate on Thursday. A deal is in the works, sources said, but it has not been finalized.

I'm never linking a lonn tweet again

But yeah, AYS is really accurate. This is true.

Certainly the list didn’t go Chatman, Davis, then Williams.
We all love Kyle but he has zero skins on the wall coaching wise

As with most coaching hires, they have to word it like "targeting."
When a team is said to be targeting someone that means it's all but done 99% of the time.
Barring a shocker, Williams is the man.

Wilson Alexander is also reporting this.
A few things: love this for him, very cool.
2...I think part of this is that they have had so much turnover at that position, they want someone that will almost certainly be there awhile and he can grow in the the position
I do wonder how someone like Peoples feels about this. He was a defensive line coach already, came here to work with the edge and is "getting passed over" for a guy that has never done it at the college level.

Great news! He'll be a good one!

Ipodking hates the hire so he’ll probably crank out multiple first round DT’s

Wow!
Didn’t think the grind of college coaching was something Kyle would be interested in.
Intriguing hire.

Hope it works but don't love the on the job training aspect.

Peoples title hasn’t changed & he was never going to coach the full D-line

Maybe Peoples didn’t want it.
