Give credit where it's due, the job he's done with robert miller this year has been great. Miller started day 1 and was completely lost on the floor. Fast forward to the end of the season and he may be one of the best guys on the roster aside from carter. Hopefully mcmahon can develop a few more young guys in the same manner and build a solid core going forward

Took him 10 months to realize the kid needs to touch the ball? Great job I guess.

He started day 1 and touched the ball plenty. He was terrible but is now showing signs of promise

He didn’t, he floated around the perimeter mostly and wasn’t even involved in most ball screens. Great development like when he had Hannibal for 3 years and only realized what he was the final month of his career after the starting PG quit.

This is my issue with CMM. Individually you look at the players and they look to have potential and they all seem to be progressing and getting better. But the team itself never seems to show that growth as a whole. So it seems like the whole is less than the sum of its parts. Thats not a good recipe for a successful coach.

If you watch his high school tape that's mainly what he did. Most ball screen action went through reed before he got hurt

Madking doesn’t like facts.
Like you said, he started & had a terrible November.
Shot like 3-15.
Now he’s 15-21 in his last 4 games

Reed was hurt December 3rd, It’s March 6th. He’s had Miller for over 10 months and he’s just realizing how to use him?

Hard to argue with that, at least at LSU. I really don't know enough about Murray State to know how that went there.

lol too stupid to realize you debunked your own statement.

Surely you can't sit here and watch these games and think the reason Miller is playing well now is because of the way he's being used.

It was predicted and now it’s happened so yes and if you’re watching the games it’s obvious.

Is it really that much of a stretch to think that the 18 year old freshman just improved as his first season of college basketball progressed? How are we spinning a players improvement into an indictment on the coach?

Of course there’s an inherent progression with experience but his change was basically overnight and correlated exactly with the way he was being used.

Ok I will. He’s in completely over his head at this level. He is horrible at roster management, rotations, in-game adjustments and developing players. He can’t land elite recruits (Top 20) and he has quite a few portal misses. He has no business being a P4 head coach.

You guys better agree with Jim.

You're truly an idiot if you think Miller is suddenly playing so much better solely because he's taking less threes while setting more screens and rolling to the basket more. Do you truly think it took McMahon the entire season to have Miller screen for the first time? Or do you think Miller just actually improved as the season went on, you know considering he's a Freshman and all.
What do you attribute his improved rebounding and defense too? Was McMahon not using him right there either?
