Glad the NCAA is off our back… oh wait, they are a powerless organization.

It was all BS, Scott and Tate didn’t like Wade and Woody was arrogant enough to think he could replace him. Now, he’s scared to fire MM this season because the best coach on the market will be the guy he ran off.

Yall are insane thinking we didn’t sacrifice Wade for football. Not that I agree with the decision but there was clearly a deal

Name one with a better resume. Keeping in mind he’s got a P5 league title under his belt.

The IARP didn’t prove any of that. All allegations. And at least get the allegations correct, it was a joint account and he wasn’t accused of paying a player, but someone “believed” to be connected to a player. Guess what, when that someone refuses to cooperate with the NCAA, they can’t prove it. That is what EVERY coach in the county did pre-NIL.

What was there to like, more SEC wins than any other coach during his 5 years. Sorry if playing the same dirty game offends you, but get your head out of your arse, O had several players on the direct payroll including Ricks. That’s the reason he got a mysterious injury as soon as O was fired, the checks stopped coming.

Ok but why are we still sacrificing the men's basketball program?

Hell no, the IARP had nothing on Wade that would stick and anybody with half a brain knew that. The IARP was on its last case, it wasn’t going to hammer LSU football because of weak allegations against the basketball program. Scott used that as an excuse to get rid of a coach he didn’t like. And morons like you lapped it up.

That did not involve an LSU player. It was his prior stop.

There were three level One allegations against Wade if I recall. We were definitely in the NCAA gunsights. Then NIL came along and saved us and Wade, though Wade still got a ten game suspension. All water under the bridge now.

The NCAA went out of their way to make the allegations seem as bad as possible KNOWING the IARP could not prove them. ALL of the allegations were based on the activities that were believed to have involved people connected to players or recruits. The NCAA normally doesn’t even try to bring these allegations because they know these individuals NEVER cooperate.

Why did it happen here? Because they wanted the allegations to be as bad as possible to make LSU fire Wade (or give Scott an excuse to fire Wade). It’s awfully convenient that everytime the NCAA sent LSU a letter about Wade, certain members of the media had an inkling to send a FOIA request to LSU just at the right time.

The NCAA did everything they could to convict Wade publicly because they knew what they had would not stick in the IARP process. That is ultimately what happened. They hit Wade with not producing text messages in time and accidentally running into Trendon Watford at a restaurant after his HS playoff game. None of the really damming allegations were proven, something the NCAA, Woodward and anybody who has read the NCAA Bylaws knew after reading the allegations

But the NCAA was counting on people like you and the media not reading past the headline.

None of them were paying players and it all took place before he came to LSU.

It just feels like Woodward did his buddy Emmert a favor to make it seem like the NCAA still has power. It was a win win in Woody’s eyes. Keep the investigations out of football and get rid of a guy he doesn’t like. All while making Emmert happy.

Why?

Was Wade good at Math or something?

Was Tate ever recorded in an interview stating that he didn't like WW?
