He pulls a big fricking knife. I think Hat guy should have backed the frick away out of store if he didn't want them hands. He had an egress route. He definitely wasn't cornered. Instead of retreating, he pulls knife.
Guy with the gun was deliberate in telling Hat guy back the frick up. And that escalation was justified in my expert opinion from watching Twitter videos.

You have to be a bitch to pull out a knife or anything in a man on man fight. Props to the guy for going toe to toe until the jackass pulled a knife. That's when ole boy found out he brought a knife to a gun fight.

Just going off of body language, the dude who lost his hat didn’t want the smoke. Looks like he was retreating towards the exit soon as the other guy pressed him. I think he pulls the knife out to intimidate the guy, but does it when he’s closer to the exit, and would have probably bolted soon as he had the opening. Unfortunately for him in this FAFO situation, baw brought a stabby stab to a pew pew fight.

Hat guy went to pull first. Though at that point, I argue he was not the aggressor and probably had a right to do so. Aggressor cannot claim self defense. So non hat guy is in the wrong when he pulled.
