Funny how the liberals are always blaming MAGA for doing what they are doing/have done or support others doing.

I wish she would have added, even during our own Civil War, not a war with another country, we still held an election (1864 Lincoln v. McClellan).

I've sent this to a friend of mine. Tulsi has very much impressed me with the way she can lay out situations when she is talking and call out the media for their complicity.

A quarter to a third of Ukraines population is under occupation or evacuation, and a huge percentage of the pre-war remaining population has emigrated to Poland, Hungary, etc.
I understand why they haven’t held elections. There is zero chance it would be legitimate.

So, no election is better than a low turnout election?
This would actually be in Zelensky's favor as the occupied part is pro-Russia and those that fled are anti-war. The remaining Ukrainians should be Zelensky supporters. That Zelensky is unwilling to hold elections when this is the case tells you he is afraid to lose. He knows he has lost support from those who should be his biggest advocates.
If he wasn't afraid to lose, he would hold elections as best he could and use that support to tell the US and Europe that Ukraine still backs him. This would be a much better way to get money and weapons than prancing around like a dictator.
Your argument also doesn't explain why Zelensky is banning opposition parties. This again points to Zelensky knowing he would lose an election, not having some concern about "proper" elections.

I actually don't have a problem with him banning political opponents or even messing with the Orthodox Church if he feels like he has to do it during wartime.
The conscripts thing is ugly and his thugs slowly killing Gonzalo Lira for saying mean things should have been an international scandal. If people want to say Gonzalo shouldn't have been saying pro-Russia things at the time, he FAFO, that's fine. I just don't want to hear that this is about democracy.
