Question for Baton Rouge area pilots (PPL)

I earned my PPL about 2 months ago and currently rent from my flight school (Gulf Coast Aviation) at BTR.
Their rates are somewhat steep ($180/hr for steam cockpits, $196/hr for glass) and they only offer the "wet" rate.
Google seems limited... mostly pulling up dead websites of local flight clubs and businesses that have died.
Do you rent? from where?
How can I find local pilots seeking a fractional ownership?

Join Louisiana Aviators Facebook group. They have people in there looking for fractional owners from time to time.

Fly by Knight in hammond had good rates a few years ago. I heard the Knights sold it so idk if it’s true now. But I’d look there.

What was the cost for the PPL and how long did it take to get?

There’s a flight club at Abbeville.
$4000/year fee
$90/hr dry C182RG
$70/hr dry PA28
It’s $170/hour wet at Owens in Lafayette. All the 172s are Garmin 650/175 equipped.
You can rent a basic VFR Cessna 152 for $140 at Owens too though.
If you have the money, just buy a 152 for yourself to time build at 6 gallons per hour.

My son is a flight instructor at Plane Nuts at Louisiana Regional in Gonzales. Their wet lease rates are $160/hour and if one is a student the instructor rate is $50/hour. Feel free to email be74@icloud.com and I'd be happy to connect you. I can also connect you with the owner of the school who is a SW pilot who knows everyone there and will know about fractional ownership possibilities at the airport.
