So much for being an advocate of free speech. Fake news and "dishonest" books and articles are free speech, too.
Donnie starting to sound awfully European with wanting to go after publications in the courts

I could get behind a law that makes news articles sourced anonymously have a disclaimer at the top of the article that states something to the effect of: "Warning: The allegations contained in this article cannot be independently verified."
Maybe a rating system? "Sources Say" is not cutting it in any longer.

Judges already said it’s okay for journos to defame.

Not if they’re defamatory

Yeah, this has always been the issue I've had with 'anonymous'.
Just like the number of 'hate' crimes reported during his first administration. 'This MAGA country' was the culmination of that crap. Way more turned our to be falsely reported, than anything else.

We like our governmental interference with our information sources, do we?
Need to protect those in power. Huh?
If Trump isn't grown up enough to deal with the barrage of negative info that comes at him, then maybe he should have stayed in the private sector. Anonymous sources are part of the game....a lot of time those sources come from the inside.

Free speech right?
Right kiwi?

Spreading false information is not a form of free speech.....they call that defamation.
And the MSM has done this to DJT for 10 years now!
State supported media MUST be stopped, NOW.

Absolutely not. Disclaimers on certain products are not a new idea. I am not advocating limiting, censoring or otherwise interfering in what news outlets wish to publish. A simple disclaimer that what you are about to read are anonymous allegations without the ability to be independently verified would not affect what an outlet wishes to post.
Think of music, tv shows, movies, video games. No one interferes with production of such things- but there are content labels to warn people of what they are about to consume. Difference is, I would not advocate putting news stories behind age restrictions.

EVERYBODY who has TDS is a fool on steroids. We finally have a fighting chance to rescue America from the twin evils of the Deep State and Globalism, and yet far too many are too blind to realize it.

I only read what’s in your post.
But I was still right.

Again, thanks for playing we know what NYT v Sullivan says. He wants to revisit it.

Trump seemed to face a lot of false allegations from “insider” anonymous sources in his first term. It’s a great cover for the journalists: print something libelous, knowing it isn’t true, just to harm Trump, and use an unverifiable anonymous source as your excuse. You can say whatever you want.
What would stop them from completely making up something themselves and then just saying it came from an anonymous source?
