BBC: “Trump Is Demanding Payment For More Ukrainian Aid, That’s Called Extortion”

This morning I watched the BBC completely melt the frick down over Trump and Zelenskyyy.
They had an old guy reporter standing out in a field holding a microphone who went off on a tangent. He said “Trump is demanding compensation for more US aid to Ukraine. I call that extortion. He’s trying to extort Zelenskyyy. But the Ukrainian leader is having none of it. He’s taking Trump to task. It’s become clear now that the greatest threat to Ukraine, to Europe, to democracy, is not Vladimir Putin. It’s Donald Trump. Donald Trump is the number one threat we must face down. Ukraine is losing not because of Europe, not because of Russia, but because of Donald Trump. And it’s unacceptable.”
Then the British woman in the studio added “Yes, it’s important to remind our viewers that Trump is spreading a lot of misinformation…”
Then the guy in the field blurted out “this was an unprovoked invasion by Russia.”
Then they showed clips of Trudeau being hugged and kissed by European politicians.
Then they showed live video of European politicians heaping words of praise on Zelenskyyy.
They want us to keep this war going and to pay the tab so bad they can’t stand it.
Folks, we are directly over the target and we are carpet bombing the hell out of it.

Prior to us getting involved in the Second World War, we gave the British and the Soviet Union money and supplies to fight Nazi Germany. These largely were not grants. They were loans that were meant to be paid back to us over time. Why should the money given to Ukraine be any different?

For 3 years we were told this was a loan. We were promised we'd get "some meeenaruhls" by Lindsey Graham.
Why is it a scandal that were asking them to pay up? Ukraine literally cannot win this war without us. We have no obligation to them. They owe it to us that they've made it this far.

This war cannot be won. No country has won a war since WW2. Think unconditional surrender. Without it, you will never win.

They are scared that they will have to defend themselves. They don’t want to spend their money to do it. For one thing they need more soldiers than we do to have the same amount of firepower. Their forces are not as cohesive as US troops and don’t have the ancillary firepower.
They had three years to end a war that shouldn’t have started. They had three years to arm and train Ukraine and even with our moron Biden shoveling money like a coal tender it wasn’t enough.
The deal Trump is offering to Ukraine is a hell of a security guarantee. American know how and businesses to develop what they can’t do themselves and a split of money. It is a hell of a tripwire that Putin can’t ignore and at the same time is not an offensive force in his front yard. Win for everyone.

Trump needs to double down on the rhetoric and demand that the whole European continent pay us for saving, and rebuilding their arse after two world wars!

Exactly. So why are we pretending it can be done? Barring US/NATO intervention it's stalemate at best. It serves no purpose.
