my opinion is dictated by how high of a pick we end up with in draft. I think its important we have our next star lined up.

don't want to go down the rabbit hole much.

i was given a timeout.

i didn't agree with said timeout.

not a whole lot to it more than that.

that's about all i'll say.

It's a good start. This is the slimmest he's ever been since his pre-injury rookie season.

You can see his speed and agility pop like it did when it was during his rookie and 2nd year when he was beat wings and guards off the dribble then getting skinny getting around bigs. His overall conditioning is as good as it's ever been and he isn't compromising on defense and taking off plays when he's on the floor and you can see his motor as a result.

He still needs to get his body better over the summer. I want to see his arms get more defined like we saw at Duke.

He'll still need to prove it by coming into next season in even better shape than he is now before we can feel any optimism since he's fooled us one too many times.

Either way, when hus body and conditioning is right, the talent is undeniable.

For sure, a 6 month ramp-up from being out of shape. This should have always been his reporting weight.

agreed if the price is right. Please Charlotte go all in for Zion

If they wind up 2-4 in the draft it could be interesting

He does look great right now and he is playing extremely well.

I just don't trust him and likely never will.

He does look good and I give him full credit. But even now he doesn't really look like that other-worldly athlete that he was coming into the NBA. He's very talented still but I'm afraid that once-in-a-generation guy may be gone for good.

If he keeps this up the rest of the season, his trade value should be be pretty high. If the ping pong balls right, I'd for sure look at a trade package from Charlotte or Portland built around a top-5 pick this year + more.

I just think time has run out on the Zion era here, for him and the team and the city. All could use a fresh start. By no means would I give him away, but I wouldn't hold out for a mega deal either. Two firsts/ Two seconds/ Two swaps/Two players would probably get it done for me...

If he was 284 at duke and going into his rookie season, he is definitely not 264 lol. But he does look good

Everything over the last 2 years trending in the right direction for our superstar who can be a dominant unstoppable force (outside of unfortunate Lakers play in injury where he had 40), at his lowest weight of his career and dominating on low minutes. Pels Talk “trade him.” I just don’t get it. We are the New Orleans Pelicans. The grass is not greener, brother. The lottery is not guaranteed, Pistons were the 2nd worst team the Wemby lottery and ended up at like 5 or 6. If Dejounte didn’t tear his Achilles, I’d say everything would be trending very nicely for next season. Add a top 5 lottery pick to this roster with Z, Trey, and CJ with a new HC. I am intrigued.

Athletically, Zion is still top 10% but its his lack of player development that’s more concerning if your a Pels fan. Hell still be effective against marginal teams but struggle against good teams with length. Very easy to gameplan because he’s basically the same player. He’s had time and opportunity to develop into a true #1 option but he’s spent those years getting his weight under control.

He could be all nba and lead us to a west finals next year and I'll still be skeptical as frick about him sustaining.

The trust is broken

While I agree, I just can't put faith in him that he won't be injured again. I'd love to see him stay healthy for the next few years, for the most part, and play in playoff games, but i just don't believe those chances are very high.

He should be comign into next season the lightest he's ever been, and in the best shape he's ever been. key word should, assuming he doesn't have any injury before the end of the season. And if he does do all that, and has a good start to the year in shape, then i'd quietly trade him before the trade deadline and ask for a kings ransom.

The only reason Zion will want to stay a Pelican is to get the supermax. ANd if he gets it, he'll be requesting a trade 2 years into it when he's eligible to be traded. Just get it over with and trade him now.
