and snake it to behind the visitor's bench. We need to do this. Students make the noise and being down low, they will get crazy.

I'm for it. - And move it closer to the court instead of that large space they have now in front of the rediculously named "Maravich "Maniacs" section.

We'd have to get those old grandpa season ticket holders out of their 30-year seats though. That might be tough.

Also I'd just have to get their earlier than most students. Seats behind the goal suck arse.

I am no longer a student but was horrified to see how they moved the student section. Part of it is now in the upper deck? However I can understand b/c over the past few years the students haven't been showing up.

Snaking the student section behind the visitors bench will never and should never happen. That is trouble in the making.

Why not just put it behind the visitors basket in the second half? That would allow the students to have a huge impact during the second half of games.

If we want the student section to have an impact on the game, we need to look at the schools where that happens...Duke, Michigan State, Florida, etc. All these schools have student sections right on the court. I think we should copy Michigan State and wrap our student section from behind one basket to the other. In other words, just extend the student section from where it is now to behind the baskets on both ends. This would make the PMAC an exciting place to play and watch a game.

student section should be the whole endzone part, all the way to the top

I could be mistaking but I think part of the reason they are located where they are now is because of the complaints made about them throwing the newspapers on the court before the game when the opponents team is being introed.

EXACTLY, the best part of that is when the front of the endzone stands up it becomes a domino effect causing the student beind them to stand and so forth... and while you are standing why not go crazy and yell your head off!

I didn't want to take it that far but he has a point. Even when we have really good teams our student section has been weak. Absolutely nobody shows up for the first 10 or 15 games of the season. Granted we aren't playing anyone exciting but other teams pack their student sections when playing patsies.

When the students prove they can fill up quality seats I would rather the 80 year old grandpa have the seat. They go to EVERY GAME win or lose. John Brady or not!

If the students can get organized enough to become a distraction like Duke's students then we should all rejoice!

How about moving the student section to the parking lot?

our students suck so they dont deserve those seats. i say make a lower section for first come first serve to whoever and fill it up. only about 30 students show up and cheer for all the games. the rest go to get points for football tickets.
