I was just about to post this. I don't believe a single RHP that we threw this weekend DIDN'T at least touch 95. In fact, I think Primeaux and Williams, who both hit 93 iirc, were the only two that didn't touch 95. You are also correct...doing that while filling up the strike zone is very impressive!

The young guys like Evans and Schimdt also have nasty breaking stuff that they seem to have command of. Crazy!

And we still have some guys who did not pitch who are known commodities when it comes to getting outs. Should be a fun year of baseball.

If Rizy keeps up what he did yesterday, it’ll be hard to keep him out of the starting lineup. That stuff was electric!

Two years ago, we lost 3 top notch pitchers to arm injuries, including Shores. We can never have too many elite arms.

Last year, we thought early on, that Loers Ulloa, Johnson, and Little would all be studs. None of the produced, like we thought they would.

I would also like to say that we don't have a lot of southpaws in the pen, this year. Last year we had a ton of them.

Having said all that, there is no shortage of talent...

We definitely are much deeper on arms than we were in 2023. 2023 we had to have guys pitch well beyond innings they’d ever pitched to win the NC. That won’t be the case this year. This staff is built for Omaha.

Losing Grant Taylor in 2023 was big. He was going to be elite

Losing Shores was also big for 2024. That really handicapped the staff.

I’ve been waiting for this. It always seems like we have a bunch of 88-92 mph guys with a couple at 95+. It feels good to have the majority of starters and relievers hitting the gas. Love it.

This team will lose some games and fans will overreact and say stupid stuff, but the team is built for Omaha

Schmidt and Rizy might propel this team in Omaha

Evans was at least as impressive as those two guys.

I thought this was impressive - Other than Kade Anderson, we didn't us a single pitcher that we used regularly last year And we gave up two runs in 3 games.

Sure, it was PUFW, but those young studs passed the eye test, and we get them all for 2-3 years.
