I think our gymnastics ladies are now officially in OU’s heads.

They aren't used to performing before a crowd like this. The crowd and the environment definitely got in their head. Despite all of their success their attendance is no where close to this. The PMAC was electric and the Tigers were on fire.

Those girls are supreme athletes. The training is hard as hell and they endure a lot of injuries. Your posting is all shite. You just posted also about the baseball team not hitting any home runs was boring. So who is the weird one?

Not why you cannot see how hard gym is and how hard these ladies train and skill and practice it takes to master it. But also appreciate how beautiful these young ladies are, it is possible to appreciate both.

I’ve heard that their HC isn’t terribly interested in building their fan base. She finds the fans a distraction and concentrates on improving her team, not fan support.

LSU fan attendance has to help in recruiting. Watching tv, I was waiting on a basketball game and flipped to ladies gymnastics and never left. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did! (No perv)

There is no doubt this is a factor. Its such a phenomenon that the announcers talk about the 13,000 fans and the lit atmosphere several times during each meet. No where else in the country is there such a melding to this magnitude of the program and its fan base. That has to resonate with recruits. Imagine a nationally recruited gymnast in North Carolina watching this and then taking an official visit and experiencing it first hand. Then add the state of the art practice facility. Now that they have won a national championship this program has a chance to supplant Oklahoma as the gold star.
