Packed House for Women. Men could play anyone in the country now and only fill 1/2 the PMAC

Yeah, but the McMen will tell you that LSU fans only support football and baseball. They ignore packed houses at literally any LSU event that involves winners.

Like most fanbases, our fans only support winners. I guess if thats a badge of honor for you, then wear it

Lots of these guys just want to have somebody at LSU to run down. Evidently makes them feel better about what they haven’t accomplished.

The Scotlandville middle school basketball team can draw a bigger crowd than the LSU MBB

Not really. Gymnastics had good attendance before winning the Championship and so did WBB. People came because they knew Mulkey would turn it around.

It doesn't take a Championship, it takes being competitive, something men's basketball isn't.

When I was a student, I went to men’s hoops games, and it was a roller coaster. I saw the season after the Final 4, the Brady/Pierre season, Trent’s first year, etc. I also supported gymnastics. I had never been to a gym meet, but those were damn fun.

If I had to pick, I’d rather go see a title contending gymnastics team than a crappy men’s hoops squad.

Of course you want to attend a winning team.. but in fairness gymnastics has Been solid to elite for a while.. and it is priced to promote attendance by families.. I believe they lose money and pmac is always filled.. but they draw an extremely family friendly crowd and tons of parents with small children … lots of daughters and groups of children organizations..

Mbb get a strong crowd ( very strong when winning). with families but not as many and not as many young ones..it is crazy when winning seasons and more toward football crazy.

Wbb always got the most diverse crowd.. strong core group and the most extreme passion that is infectious to the rest of the crowd that comes when winning. It can get well beyond rocking!

Agreed.

LSU fans like winning and support winning…geaux figure!

When basketball starts winning then the arena will fill up. It is actually that simple.

Women’s Gymnastics is dominate and puts on a good show. They deserve all of our continued support

All of this can be said about the women's basketball team as well. Which is why they're currently among the top ten in attendance nationally, at just over 11,000 per game.

Here's another angle to look at, especially this time of year. There's MBB, WBB, Gymnastics, Softball, Baseball. There's only so much time in the week. I can't spend every night at LSU, and honestly, I could only get there maybe 1 night during the week. I'm going to use that night to go see a team win if I can.
